Description

Finally, on-the-go zinc sunscreen that protects for days! Made from a mineral blend of Zinc oxide and botanical ingredients, our popular SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Butter is face sunscreen at its best. Super hydrating and easy to blend thanks to coconut oil and jojoba oil, this sunscreen doesn’t leave your skin greasy and won’t clog your pores (sensitive skin, rejoice!). Zinc oxide actually sits on top of your skin to physically block UVA and UVB rays, and beeswax gives this butter an extra “oomph” in the water department (water-resistant for 80 minutes). reef friendly

Unlike conventional chemical sunscreens that are harmful to humans and marine life, All Good mineral sunscreen products are made with the active ingredient, zinc oxide. Zinc oxide is a topical, non-nanoparticle, mineral-based ingredient that sits on top of your skin and won’t absorb into your body; it is one of only two ingredients that has been FDA-approved for general recognition of safety and effectiveness (GRASE)*. All or our All Good reef-friendly suncare products meet broad-spectrum FDA standards and reef safe criteria. Our ingredients do not include chemical UV absorbers, parabens or harmful additives (and especially no octinoxate, oxybenzone, and the other chemicals in the “Awful Eight”).

*The FDA is asking for more safety data on 12 additional active sunscreen ingredients in order to determine whether they can be classified as GRASE. We’ll do our best to keep you informed as soon as we hear more!

Can i exchange? I’ve purchased this from a co-op before. It wasn’t old and clumpy looking in the tin when I purchased it then…but getting new and directly from All good -it looks old! already! Picture attached. Defective?

In my experience of the 1st purchase- over time, with lots of usage, sitting in my car, and age it did change in consistency, understandably. I used it until it was nearly gone. But was starting to break out.

  2. Question

    Jorja

I struggle with oily and acne-prone skin. This sunscreen looks amazing but I’m worried it will block my pores and cause breakouts. I’m looking for a daily sunscreen that isn’t too heavy. Is it ok to use for my skin or is there another similar sunscreen that I could use?

      Hello Natalie,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Our SPF 50 mineral sunscreen butter has organic calendula infused in jojoba oil and organic coconut oil. These ingredients give this product a tiny bit of scent, but are primarily added for skin benefits. We do not add any perfumes or ingredients just for the fragrance of this product.

I hope this helps answer your question!

      All the Best,
      Alaya

  4. Question

    Madison

I noticed that the ingredients for this product are minimal and looks similar to a couple of lip balms that are on the market right now that are marketed as being natural.

I’m wondering if it would be okay to use this body butter as a lip balm with SPF. Would this be fine for someone with sensitive skin? I do use regular lip balms containing SPF. Is the formula unsuitable for the lips?

      Hello Madison,

You can absolutely use our sunscreen on your lips. Our sunscreens are specifically formulated to be gentle on sensitive skin, so you shouldn’t have any issues. We do also have lip balms with SPF that may be a bit more nourishing to the lips if that’s a concern you have.

I hope that helped to answer your question!

      All the best,
      Alaya

      Hi Hannah,

We do not currently have a PF, PA, or Boots Star rating for our sunscreens. However, the FDA requires that broad-spectrum sunscreens pass critical wavelength >370 nm testing, which ours do.

If you have any extra questions, please reach out directly to us at info@allgoodproducts.com.

      Hi Patty Jo,

Our SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Butter should not appear light brown. While our Tinted SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Butter is a light brown color, the non-tinted one should appear white.

Please email us at info@allgoodproducts.com so we can get to the bottom of this!

  7. Joel Nossoff

Lasts in the water, and sweat resistant.

    Joel Nossoff

I live in high desert Albuquerque and while we don’t get as hot as Las Vegas or Phoenix ( a common misconception) we get lots of high altitude sunshine. I use the butter on my face, neck and ears. First thing at the pool (almost daily) I shower to wash my face, dry my face, and apply the butter. I likely apply too much, as sometimes I get that “clown white” effect, but I don’t care. With blue eyes, fair skin, and a history of skin cancer, “too much” is alright with me. (I also wear a hat in the pool). The protection is excellent, and it lasts and lasts. I suspect 80 minutes is likely all that is allowed to be claimed for water resistance; my experience is that it lasts until I get home and scrub it off with soap and hot water. The consistency is thick and lubricating, and I like that it does not drip into my eyes with the sweat from my brow when I am working in the yard, or biking. I read that it is gluten free, but I still do not intend to eat it! Neither should you!

  8. Question

    wendy

Hi, I saw that this same sunscreen elsewhere says that it also contains iron oxide, which is an important ingredient for me. Has this been left out of the above ingredient by accident, or does it really not have iron oxides in it. I want to go out and buy this tomorrow and would love to get confirmation.

  9. Question

    Steven Asanti

I really like the sun butter formula however the white leaves too much of a white cast and the tinted is way too dark. Would adding some of the tinted sun butter to the untinted sun butter and mixing impact the efficacy of the spf? Generally it is not good to combine different sunscreens but maybe it’s okay for this one because the formulas are similar?

      Hi Steven,

Yes, you can mix those two together to get just the right tint for yourself while maintaining SPF coverage 🙂
