Just wanted to check if this sunscreen has a 5 star UVA UVB protection?
What if my sunscreen appears light brown and none functional?
I live in high desert Albuquerque and while we don't get as hot as Las Vegas or Phoenix ( a common misconception) we get lots of high altitude sunshine. I use the butter on my face, neck and ears. First thing at the pool (almost daily) I shower to wash my face, dry my face, and apply the butter. I likely apply too much, as sometimes I get that "clown white" effect, but I don't care. With blue eyes, fair skin, and a history of skin cancer, "too much" is alright with me. (I also wear a hat in the pool). The protection is excellent, and it lasts and lasts. I suspect 80 minutes is likely all that is allowed to be claimed for water resistance; my experience is that it lasts until I get home and scrub it off with soap and hot water. The consistency is thick and lubricating, and I like that it does not drip into my eyes with the sweat from my brow when I am working in the yard, or biking. I read that it is gluten free, but I still do not intend to eat it! Neither should you!
Hi, I saw that this same sunscreen elsewhere says that it also contains iron oxide, which is an important ingredient for me. Has this been left out of the above ingredient by accident, or does it really not have iron oxides in it. I want to go out and buy this tomorrow and would love to get confirmation.
I really like the sun butter formula however the white leaves too much of a white cast and the tinted is way too dark. Would adding some of the tinted sun butter to the untinted sun butter and mixing impact the efficacy of the spf? Generally it is not good to combine different sunscreens but maybe it’s okay for this one because the formulas are similar?
Is this sun screen untinted
Hello! Am I able to use the Mineral Sunscreen Butter on my 9 month old baby? I would buy the Baby and Kids sunscreen, but my baby is allergic to sunflower. I love the brand, so hoping the butter is also safe for him?
How much of this product is recommended to use for full spf 50 coverage?
Doesn't coconut oil block your pores? I heard coconut oil is not good to put on your face.
I like the texture and tint and the feel of it on my skin, but definitely did not like the apparently permanent brown stains on the neck area of our reef guards. I have tried emailing AllGood about this but the emails aren’t being delivered. I would like to know what is in the product that won’t come out of fabric, and am wondering if it’s something I shouldn’t want on my skin.
Does this product have fragrance?
i do not see an expiration date on this tin. please tell me how long the sunscreen butter remains effect. thank you-paula
How well does this work for people with oily skin? My previous favorite face sunscreen was discontinued years ago & I've been on the hunt for a good quality face sunscreen that doesn't make my face all oily & shiny. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
I was a little skeptical to try this because my son is so fair and we’ve always used neutrogena 100 proof (which I found out has terrible toxins) but I wanted something natural without all the chemicals. I could not believe how good it worked. It actually worked better than the 100 proof poison stuff. Really! Easy to apply and long lasting. And I can rest knowing he’s not absorbing all those bad toxins. I came back to buy more, I’m so excited!!
Is this safe for pregnancy/breastfeeding? Many thanks!
This stuff works like a charm. It doesn’t make my skin feel greasy like most sunscreens. I’ve been at the beach for hours and haven’t burned yet, which is surprising. Most of all, I love that it’s plastic free!
This stuff is my go-to sunscreen for long bike rides in the sun. 3.5 months of riding almost every day in Taiwan, I used this in all the critical areas that other sunscreens just don't cut it. Now that I'm back in Covid-era lockdown life, I trust nothing else to protect my nose when I'm pulling my mask over my face when I drop into a singletrack.
I love this product! It's great for the surfers and kayakers among us how need to keep their noses and cheeks white and free from sunburn! You can rub it in and get the white to mostly go away, but its thick. I keep it in my first aid kit from day hikes to week long expeditions :)
Love this stuff. So portable and buttery. I prefer the Tinted Sun Butter because it doubles as a skin tint, but I still really like this!
I found this sunscreen this past summer and it was PERFECT for surfing and hiking. Fast forward to this winter and I am using it just as much if not more for snowboarding. The zinc provides great protection and doesn't leave my pores clogged.

First, this product is high-quality! However I rate 4/5 stars because I would prefer to buy simpler recipe variants for lower cost, and larger sizes to extend lifetime and reduce packaging waste.
I like this sunscreen salve recipe a lot! It is thick because of the amount of zinc oxide and beeswax, but it is not difficult to apply to normal or moist skin! If your skin is very dry, consider using a non-photosensitive moisturizer beforehand. I am unhappy that this salve is only sold in 1oz tins. I am tall, pale, and have a lot of surface area to cover, so this small tin is not going to last long enough. I enjoy the metal packaging which can be repurposed or recycled. I want this salve to be sold in larger tins. I enjoy carrying the 1oz tin with me, but I want a larger container to keep at home.
The core ingredients of this product are coconut oil, beeswax, and zinc oxide. The oil and beeswax make a nice skin salve, and the zinc oxide makes a good physical sunscreen. The non-core ingredients are Jojoba oil, Calendula extract, and Vitamin E. Jojoba oil is quite expensive and probably adds a lot of cost, but it may be justifiable for its potentially superior skin absorption. Calendula extract likewise may be justifiable for its potential ability to prevent acute radiodermatitis (commonly sunburns). Depending on the cost of growing the flowers locally and producing the Jojoba oil infusion, I’d like to buy a variant that eliminates this ingredient and costs less. Thirdly…
I strongly question the inclusion of Vitamin E. Too many cosmetic products rely on topical Vitamin E as a marketing ploy. Topical Vitamin E has yet to demonstrate strong photoprotection benefits. If I want external Vitamin E, I will get it through my diet, not my sunscreen. I only plan on re-purchasing a variant of this product that eliminates Vitamin E, for only very slightly lower cost, but more importantly for not relying on Vitamin E as a marketing ploy.
I want to support All Good Products by buying this sunscreen! However, I am not satisfied with the limited sizes and variants for this recipe. For cost and preference reasons, I will continue making my own sunscreen at home. HOWEVER: If All Good Products offers larger sizes and simpler recipe variants, then I will happily continue to purchase this product! The convenience of not having to make my own is worth a lot, and despite my critiques, this sunscreen is high-quality!

This product works without leaving a residue. The container easily fits in a pocket so you are more apt to carry it with you and reapply when necessary.

I was going to be in Punta Cana for 4 days, so I needed a good sunscreen that was along the lines of what I believed in. I found this product. I really only used it for one day, I didn’t burn after being in the sun nor did I burn after being in the ocean for quite some time. I gave it four stars instead of five because I only used it that one time. I also liked that it did not have a very strong scent to it and that it didn’t streak after I rubbed it in.

Just bought this, I used this the day at the beach, sunny and windy. No burn and I burn easily. It goes on clean and felt like I didn’t have sunscreen on. I tend to breakout badly after using any sunscreen, but no reactions after using this one. Been using All Good products for awhile now, will be adding this one now. Keep up the good work! -JM
