Is it too much to ask for sunscreen lip balm without weird chemical tastes? We say no. All Good Lip Balm with SPF20 is crafted with plant-based suncare ingredients that blend in with your skin, glide on easily, and hydrate your lips without having to reapply again and again (and again). With a hint of coconut so you can pretend it’s a Piña Colada.
We’ve all been there: you apply your lip balm thinking it’s going to hydrate and soothe, but 20 minutes later you’re reapplying again and you swear your lips somehow got drier… THAT is the wrong we set out to right with All Good Lip Balm. Made from a top-secret (not really, see ingredients below) formula of dried medicinal herbs, Vitamin E, extra virgin olive oil and pure beeswax, this non-toxic lip balm glides on and starts hydrating immediately. It’s fine for sensitive skin, long-lasting, goes on easy, never waxy, and tested during even the harshest Midwestern winters. Use it on dry lips or cracked skin (even on cuticles) to smooth things out and keep skin hydrated. Life’s too short to fight with your lip balm.
To beef things up, we made our lip balms broad spectrum SPF to protect your lips from UVA and UVB rays by using a healthy dose of zinc oxide for sun protection. Which, by the way, is oxybenzone-free and the same stuff we use in our reef safe (or friendly) sunscreens. We love it when skin care and earth care overlap.
Dermatologist-approved and a good step in preventing skin cancer (shout out to sunscreen!). Glide on, friends.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Zinc Oxide 8%
(Non-nanoparticle).
INACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Organic Cocos Nucifera, (Coconut Flavor), Organic Olea Europaea (Extra Virgin Olive Fruit Oil), Pure Cera Alba (Beeswax), Organic Calendula Officinalis (Calendula), Organic Symphytum Officinale (Comfrey), Organic Plantago Lanceolata (Plantain), Organic Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender), Organic Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow), Organic Ricinus Communis (Castor Oil), Organic Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry Seed Oil), Non-GMO Tocopherol (Vitamin E).
Unlike conventional chemical sunscreens that are harmful to humans and marine life, All Good mineral sunscreen products are made with the active ingredient, zinc oxide. Zinc oxide is a topical, non-nanoparticle, mineral-based ingredient that sits on top of your skin and won’t absorb into your body; it is one of only two ingredients that has been FDA-approved for general recognition of safety and effectiveness (GRASE)*. All or our All Good reef-friendly suncare products meet broad-spectrum FDA standards and reef safe criteria. Our ingredients do not include chemical UV absorbers, parabens or harmful additives (and especially no octinoxate, oxybenzone, and the other chemicals in the “Awful Eight”).
*The FDA is asking for more safety data on 12 additional active sunscreen ingredients in order to determine whether they can be classified as GRASE. We’ll do our best to keep you informed as soon as we hear more!

Question

Re: your ingredients:
“Organic Cocos Nucifera, (Coconut Flavor), Organic Olea Europaea (Extra Virgin Olive Fruit Oil), Pure Cera Alba (Beeswax), Organic Calendula Officinalis (Calendula), Organic Symphytum Officinale (Comfrey), Organic Plantago Lanceolata (Plantain), Organic Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender), Organic Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow), Organic Ricinus Communis (Castor Oil), Organic Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry Seed Oil), Non-GMO Tocopherol (Vitamin E)” –
1) Is “Organic Cocos Nucifera, (Coconut Flavor)” the same thing or two different things – there is a comma separating both terms.
1a) If it actually is one item and that item is Organic Coconut Flavor, does the organic flavor contain any ethoxylated ingredients, especially propylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, or polyethylene glycol, etc?
2) Is “Organic Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender)” referring to Lavender essential oil or is it an oil-infused with dried Lavender plant material?

Hello There,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
1) Yes, it’s a single ingredient, should not be a comma: Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Flavor)
1a) The organic flavor does not contain any ethoxylated ingredients. Just the coconut flavor in sunflower oil.
2) Organic lavender essential oil
Please let me know if you have any additional questions at info@allgoodproducts.com
All the best,
ALaya

I like it a lot and I only got it because it was reef safe! Which I feel is rare to find in a chapstick 🙂

shelf life? It smells bad after perhaps a year – even less? Otherwise love it.

Hi Laurie,
Our lip balms have a two year shelf-life from the date of manufacture. Our lip balms should not be smelling badly after a year (or less than a year). If a lip balm you bought recently is smelling bad, please contact us at info@allgoodproducts.com so we can figure out what’s going on with it!

I have tried so so many chapsticks with SPF this is the only one that doesn’t taste terrible. There is no taste at all. I plan to buy several more.

I’ve been looking for a non-toxic, affordable, non-nano balm with sunscreen, and this is my new favorite. The coconut taste is nice but not too strong (and it fades quickly), the balm moisturizes pretty well (could be a little better, but good enough), and the zinc doesn’t give my lips a thick white coat, just a little bit of a white look. A very good product!
