Question
Meg –
What is the pH? I can only use products with skin-identical pH (~4.5-5.7) due to sensitivities.

If the bag inside the can breaks, will the sunscreen and the repellant mix together or will it not spray? 3. The botanical ingredients listed , it should be noted , have not been approved for safety for planning pregnancy , or pregnant, or breast feeding. 4. Has the official Hawaii site agreed that it is Reef Safe as Hawaii has warnings about sunscreens using that label when not true?

Alaya Hartford –
Hello There,
Thank you for reaching out to us! Those are some great questions.
1. When you explain the propellant, are there any nano particles in the spray that could be inhaled?
The active zinc oxide we use is non-nano particle. When sprayed, the material can be inhaled, just like anything in a misted format. There for, if using on the face, it is best to spray on the legs, arms or even in the hands, then apply to face, ears and neck.
2. If the bag inside the can breaks, will the sunscreen and the repellant mix together or will it not spray?
Inside the can, between the bag and the wall of the can is just air. So, if the bag were to break, it would lose its pressure and not spray, but if the sunscreen could be accessed, it would still be fine to apply.
3. The botanical ingredients listed , it should be noted , have not been approved for safety for planning pregnancy , or pregnant, or breast feeding. We are not medical professionals, and we recommend that every individual work with their medical professional to address any concerns on ingredients. Many times, in the case of pregnancy, excessive use of certain botanical ingredients can be a suggested avoidance by doctors, but it can be addressed individually, so we recommend each mom or mom to be consult with their professional advisors.
4. Has the official Hawaii site agreed that it is Reef Safe as Hawaii has warnings about sunscreens using that label when not true?
We are not sure what is being referred to as the “official Hawaii site”, but we generally agree that the term “Reef Safe” has been wrongly used. According to scientists, there are many chemicals that can cause damage to coral, and we avoid all of these. After the first Hawaii legislation, we saw sunscreen re-formulations very quickly add additional harmful chemicals that were not listed on the legislation. Since then, the counties of Maui and Hawaii (big island) have passed mineral only regulations. We support these regulatory improvements, and we continue to adhere to the strictest guidelines in our choice of ingredients.
Please feel free to reach out to us directly at info@allgoodproducts.com with any additional questions!
All the Best,
Caroline and Alaya

I love your sunscreen and was excited to find it in a spray. But the can will simply not spray at all. I keep shaking it, making sure it is twisted open, and nothing. Very disappointing. Good money for a product I cannot use.

Hi Amy,
Thanks for letting us know about your troubles with the spray bottle you purchased. It sounds like the nozzle is clogged, which can happen when the zinc cakes in the small nozzle during periods of not being used. You could try to unclog the nozzle by running it under warm water and inserting a thin needle into the nozzle itself. This seems to be working for other customers as long as the needle is thin enough to make it into the nozzle opening.
If that doesn’t work, please contact us at info@allgoodproducts.com so we can figure something out for you 🙂

Question
Robert Harmon –
Does it say biodegradable on the label? I need a spray that I can use in Cancun and it must be biodegradable.

Hi Robert,
Some of our older labels may say biodegradable. All of our newer labels do not have biodegradable on them.
Regardless of the label, the product itself is biodegradable but the packaging is not biodegradable.

Question
stan –
what is the propellant in the spray containers? or is it just air pressurized?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Watch Unwatch Flag for removal
Jenny –
Hi Stan,
We use bag on valve propellant technology for our sunscreen sprays. The sunscreen is contained in a bag within the can, and the compressed air (just regular air – no chemicals) is stored outside the bag, between the bag and the can wall. The only substance released from the nozzle is the sunscreen itself, as the bag in the can keeps the sunscreen separate from the compressed air. So yes, just pressurized air 🙂

Is this fragrance free?

Hi there,
Yes, our Sport Sunscreen Spray is fragrance-free! The only sunscreen product that has a fragrance is our SPF 30 Coconut Sunstick.

I was very skeptical about the idea of a mineral sunscreen spray, but this worked great! By its nature it’s never going to rub in as well as non-mineral sunscreen, but I appreciate how much easier it is to get coverage! Solid product, will buy again.

the spray can is a mess. The spray drips all over the can. You need to push really hard to get the spray to work. Defective delivery!

The best sunscreen ever! I’ve tried so many natural sunscreens that where too thick and smelly. This sunscreen soaks into my skin like a moisturizer. I use it on my face as well and I have sensitive skin. It has a light natural smell that reminds me of going to the beach. The spray is convenient.

I had previously used the lotion and fell in love with product as I became allergic to the OTC varieties. Found this is the spray can, loved it but both containers quit working with much of the product still left. Will be taking back to store for a replacement. Back to the lotion in the tube. Product 5 stars, Container 1 star

I bought both the lotion and the spray. I personally like the lotion better. The spray to me was hard to put on and get off. It left a white residue and it tended to needed to scrubbed off at night. It worked well to keep the sun away, but you saw it. I had my mom spray it on my back and she initially used to little because it came out so white. I didn’t like the spray in hand method. I felt I didn’t have the same coverage. Make sure you reapply as recommended like any other sunscreen. I felt the burn of the Caribbean sun when I was in the water for 3 hours. I also found the spray left a white film on my swimsuit where the lotion didn’t.

I love the eco friendliness, but it is a little sticky. Sprays on quick and runs in better than other zinc products. Not oily at all

I bought this for my adult son, again. He likes that he can put it on his hairy arms and 2 day facial hair without it getting all gloppy.

After over 40 years as a raft guide on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, I know a bit about sunscreens. This stuff is absolutely perfect. Easy to spray a non drippy glob into your hands and rub on face, ears, neck, etc. Haven’t tried spraying directly on skin because it is so easy to regulate and use putting on your palms first. It goes on dry and stays dry, no grease, no sticky mess, and no WHITE! A tiny bit, maybe but I am kind of embracing the porcelain skin look as opposed to the white/grey usual appearance of my face and skin with most zinc products. Does it work in water? Yep, so far my max immersion–kayaking for 3 hours in high water so lots of immersion/splashing it stays on and works. No redness, no burn, no reapplying. Like I said, this stuff is perfect. I love All Good, love this sunscreen and love that it is good for the environment as a non aerosol spray. The top locks shut so you won’t accidentally spray it anywhere. Would love to see it in a smaller bottle that is more portable for what I do. For my PFD I use the butter in a tin which is also great, but this stuff!!!!!
