Question
Kerstin –
What’s the main difference between the kids version and the sport version?

Jenny –
Hi Kerstin,
The Kid’s and Sport sun care products are very similar. The difference between them is that the Sport line includes green tea extract to provide antioxidants and the Kid’s has chamomile extract to help soothe sensitive skin. While the Kid’s sun care items may be a little more comfortable for sensitive skin and the Sport could help mitigate against free radicals, both sun care lines are adequate for people of all ages 🙂

I agree, I only bought this product because the product I usually buy was out of stock. I really like it and love the natural, silicone free ingredient list, but will return to my other favorite, which comes in a recyclable container.

Hi Taylor,
Thanks for the feedback! Our SPF 50 Sunscreen Butter is available in 1oz tins, a plastic-free packaging option.
I hope that helps 🙂

Question
Christine –
I just ordered this product (Butter Stick for kids) on Amazon and it arrived in a container that is unsealed. Is that how they are sold? I’m concerned if I should keep it or not?

Hi Christine,
Our Sunscreen Butter Sticks come with threaded caps, but do not have a seal. Unless the Sunscreen Butter Stick looks like it has been tampered with, it is fine.

I purchased this product to use during my SUPing or surf sessions and I love it. I usually get a tinted version to match my tanned skin, but I’m trying to use better products that are reef safe and this aligns with my values. While I do notice some white cast, it’s not any more apparent from other physical sunscreens I used to use. I will continue repurchasing this, but it’d be great if they came out with a tinted version!

Jasmine, we’ve got you covered! Try our SPF 50 Tinted Mineral Sunscreen Butter Tin: the same reef-friendly formula with added iron oxides to blend seamlessly with most skin tones. Hope you enjoy: https://allgoodbodycare.com/shop/sun/tinted/new-spf-50-tinted-mineral-sunscreen-butter-1-oz/

It’s so hard to find a good, non-nanoparticle sunscreen for very sensitive, very pale skin that doesn’t make me feel like I’m destroying the oceans. I love this sunblock! It’s the perfect consistency – easier to use than harder sticks, but goes a lot further than liquids. The only problem is, of course, the plastic container.
FYI, it takes quite a bit more effort for it to “blend in clear” than other sunblocks, but I don’t really mind the extra effort. Darker skin tones may have more issues, though,

I have very sun-sensitive skin and spend countless hours in the sun surfing in Morro Bay, CA. I am always on the lookout for a sunscreen that will provide a high level of protection and remain effective while I’m out in the surf. I am very pleased to have found the All Good Sport Butter Stick. It goes on easy, stays on for hours and keeps me from getting sunburned. Extra points for being good for my skin and the environment. Outstanding product!

The application is easy and smooth with this large stick. I use it specifically for watersports and it really has staying power. There is quite a bit of sunscreen in this stick; I’m guessing it will easily last me well into the fall. Reef friendly and human friendly; it’s a great combo!

Great mineral based sunscreen that has a creamy lux texture. Easy to apply. Kept my pale skin protected for multiple full days of sun exposure.

I am a windsurfing intructor, so I am in the sun all day. So far, I really like the All Good sunscreen. It stays on very well in the water and my skin isn’t blotchy with sunburned spots like it had been using other products. Thanks.

The stick form of SPF50 is great as often high zinc oxide formulas dry out too quickly. The stick form keeps it fresh, although I prefer the tin for sustainability.

This product is nice and creamy; it goes on smoothly and rubs in nicely. The ingredients listed on the product package are the same as the ingredients listed on the website. I love that the majority of the ingredients are organic!

New to All Good –
Really loving the ingredients are all natural and feeling good about what I am putting on my face and my children’s faces.
And it is working well – no sunburns.
But feeling bad about throwing out/ recycling plastic. I would love to see a complete environmental product with cardboard tubes/applicators instead of plastic – Please, please, please

The sunstick is harder and therefore tugs your skin when you apply to your face. This one is a little softer but it makes a big difference. This one also seems like it applies more than the sunstick which is good when my kids try to get by with just one quick swipe.

I really wanted to love this sunscreen since it is a nicer option for the earth. However, the white cast is unsightly!.I know a lot of mineral sunscreens have some white cast, but this one is serious and left me looking ashy and ghastly. I am a lighter skinned Latina, so I can’t imagine how anyone darker than me would feel OK wearing this. I had to wash my face and use an old sunscreen.

Hi Jessika. Thanks for your feedback! Our SPF 50 Sun Butter is designed to be our most protective and water resistant product. The non-tinted Sun Butter does show up on one’s skin, but it sounds like our SPF 30 Tinted Sun Butter might be a great fit for you.
Another option would be our SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion, which, if you don’t apply too much, goes on fairly transparently. We’ll reach out via email to see if we can send you a small sample of these two products to try 🙂

What does this smell like? I have a household with scent sensitivities and other sunscreen, even unscented, trigger problems.

Pancho –
Hi Kim! Thanks for reaching out. The sunscreen butter has a very mild smell- so mild that it’s difficult to discern exactly what it smells like. It’s somewhat subjective, but the some of the more popular responses from our team members is that it has a mild floral scent and that it has hints of chalk. Once it’s applied on one’s skin it truly doesn’t have much of a scent at all.
